About

When I was a kid my mom had an SLR film camera. I loved the weight and feel of its body and big lenses in my hands. I had no idea what to do with it, however, and I’m too impatient for film. Since then I met my wife in Marseille, France, and we’ve raised two kids in Minneapolis.

Digital photography came along - and its instant gratification - giving me a creative outlet and the motivation to go outside and play.  I still love the weight and feel of digital SLR cameras.  I do photography for myself; I love the challenge of creating something that is pleasing to the eye using light, composition, subject, or the opportunity of the moment. Landscapes are my favorite, but people and random objects occasionally sneak into the frame.  I enjoy editing my photos, but not too much. I still have a day job.

My family has encouraged me to share my images, and I hope you enjoy some of the selected photos I’ve taken over the last few years.
